“I was at Jireh for two years and it was hard to leave. i really connected with my key worker and they taught me so much about life, it was like leaving family.”

“When I first got to Jireh Care & Support, I was super nervous. I thought it’d just be like the other places I’d been, with staff I couldn’t connect with and strict rules that felt impossible to keep up with. But when I arrived, Daniel (General Manager) actually helped me move in himself, along with my support worker. It felt different from the start - more like family than anything else. My key worker even took me out to buy new bedding and a plant so my room would feel like mine. They encouraged me to put up posters and photos of stuff I liked, which made such a difference. Over time, my key worker taught me so many life skills. We cooked together, laughed, and even found out we liked some of the same music. Leaving was honestly tough—like saying goodbye to family.”

“Jireh staff are a pleasure to work with, always responsive when we need to contact them and they put the young people first - unconditionally.”

“i’ve always found it easy to go against what other people expect of me, but at jireh they just expect me to do what makes me happy and they provide a safe environment for it. It’s hard to go against that…”
