Who we are
Jireh Care & Support operates a high-quality semi-independent service to safeguard, empower and provide stability to young people as they go through the journey of transition to adulthood. The service is for young people who are put under the responsibility of the Local Authorities, including those with mild learning difficulties. Research shows that managing the web of transition for young people can be challenging, and without the proper support, young people are likely to struggle even when they start families with children. Therefore, at Jireh Care and Support, we aim to provide young people with skills and opportunities to assist them in making the right choices without the big worry about the future.
We create a reflective space for young people to think independently and learn from each other’s experiences.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Each young person has their own room, complete with a lock for your privacy. You’re encouraged to decorate it to make it truly feel like home. Our staff will help you settle in, making sure you have everything you need.

Our team is here to support you every step of the way. Whether it’s helping with education, managing emotions, or connecting with new friends, we’re here for you. We listen to your needs, and our activities and support plans are designed to help you succeed.

At Jireh, there’s always something exciting to do! We offer activities around the house and outings in the local area, which has great spots like parks, leisure centres, and cinemas. We encourage you to participate in what interests you and suggest new ideas—your input is valued!
We also create personalised activity schedules tailored to your interests and needs, alongside house-wide activities like bowling, cinema trips, meals out, and fun takeaway nights to foster connection and enjoyment. -
We take safety seriously, and our staff is here to help you feel comfortable and secure. We work with you to make sure you can enjoy your freedom safely, whether you’re spending time with friends or out in the community.

You’ll get help with practical skills like cooking, budgeting, and managing responsibilities, making your journey to independence smoother and more enjoyable.
We also support you with arranging and attending health appointments, including visits to the GP, dentist, and optician, while also teaching you the importance of managing your own health independently.

Respect is a big deal here. We believe in a culture of kindness and openness, where everyone treats each other with respect. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, and our team is always available if you have concerns.
