Our Commitment to Quality Staff & Training

We directly employ all our team members, ensuring a thorough vetting and hiring process. This includes comprehensive background checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Before working independently with our service users, new staff must complete a robust onboarding program. This includes essential training in health and safety, medication management, and safe handling techniques. New team members also participate in an induction period, working alongside our experienced staff until we’re confident they’re fully prepared to provide quality support independently.

We believe in continuous improvement, offering ongoing training and professional development opportunities. We encourage our staff to pursue advanced certifications, such as Health and Social Care Diplomas, to deepen their expertise and elevate their care.

At Jireh, we are committed to empowering our team through professional development. As part of your employment, you’ll have access to certified courses in Care Standards 1-15, covering essential topics like safeguarding, health and safety, communication, and infection prevention. After this is completed, you’ll go on to benefit from specialised, certificated training in areas such as child development, where you’ll explore the effects of trauma, attachment, and adolescent behaviour; managing challenging behaviour through trauma-informed practices and de-escalation techniques; and understanding exploitation, including child criminal and sexual exploitation, county lines, and modern slavery.

With these skills, you’ll be equipped to provide the highest standard of care while advancing your career.
